Turn chat during your webinars or online events public, private or disabled

Give your viewers the privacy they need to ask questions and leave comments during your webinar. If VEEDEEO is your preferable tool for your webinars, learn how to use the Broadcast Chat.

First of all, you can decide whether to enable or not the chat during your session. Why not, you may ask? It depends on the content of your speech.

But if you are planning to answer questions, you can keep the chat enabled (which it already is by default). Use the toggle button to Disable broadcast chat (as below).

To open the chat window on your VEEDEEO space, go to the left menu and select Broadcast Chat. The chat window will appear on the right side of the screen (see image below).

All chat details will be archived so you can access it later.

You can also make your broadcast chat private. On the window chat, at the top, use the toogle button to make chat private (as below). Chat will be private if this icon Broadcast Chat_Private_icon is orange. All comments and questions from viewers will be only read by the organizer / presenter of the webinar or online event.

If you prefer to offer a personalized answer after the session, you can access the chat details and contact the viewer directly. Go the meeting card on the Past Meetings section of the Timeline and click on the icon Broadcast_Past Meeting Timeline_Icon BroadcastvIewers Details (Broadcast Viewers Details). You will be able to see all relevant chat details listed in the Broadcast Chat Transcript section, such as content, name of the viewer who made the comment and timestamp.

You can download all details to a .CSV file (editable in Excel or Google Sheets).

How to make endpoints visible in the Global Directory

When an Admin creates an endpoint on the VEEDEEO platform, he can name the equipment or room (for instance, “Board meeting room”), set the maximum video resolution of the equipment or even add a calendar resource email to quickly book the room.

All created endpoints are listed in the Video Systems Directory page. In this page Admins can see the full list of the video endpoints, with respective video number and PIN.

To register the video conferencing equipment free in the global directory, Admins can use both the video number and PIN. Also, is now possible to make endpoints visible in the Global Directory.

To make endpoints visible in the global directory, Admins just need to check the box Visible in global directory on the Edit window of the endpoint (see image below).

Endpoint will only be visible in the global directory if it is registered in the VEEDEEO cloud.

VEEDEEO has created two new icons to tell which endpoints are visible and registered. The new icons are available in the Additional endpoint info table (see image below).

If endpoint is visible, the globe icon will be orange. If endpoint is registered in the VEEDEEO cloud, the arrows icon will become green check icons.

The Global Video Directory is a free service, so you can create and register unlimited endpoits. Create your account to create and register your endpoints.

Start and reschedule your video meetings from the VEEDEEO Timeline

The VEEDEEO Timeline is now easier to use!

The menu icons on the left bar are named to help you navigate through the page without wasting any time, and some upgrades were made to improve your interaction with VEEDEEO.

So, what you can do from your VEEDEEO Timeline?

As usual, login to your account to enter your VEEDEEO Timeline, where all your scheduled and past meetings are listed.


You can start a scheduled meeting by clicking START NEW or reschedule a past meeting by clicking COPY.


With the COPY option you can reschedule a meeting with the same participants, time or subject – for instance, a weekly meeting about project status, or a monthly meeting with investors. This will save you time inviting participants and creating the event.

At the top of your Timeline, on the right, you can quickly join a video meeting by clicking QUICK DIAL and entering a video room number (so you can connect to a video system or equipment) or an email (so you can send the meeting link to one or more participants and they can join from their desktops or mobile devices).


Or you can GO TO VIDEO SPACE and define the settings of enterance in the video meeting.
